Thank You to Myron Carlson and His Volunteer Crew

Lumber was staged by the pedestrian bridge between the Reserve and Estates sides of the neighborhood for the bridge and erosion repair. The bridge closed Saturday, August 10, was dismantled and work began. If all goes well the bridge will be closed for 2 to 3 weeks.

Brian Reiman provided the dirt for the erosion repair, rock and a dumpster were also delivered. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Feel free to contact Myron Carlson or Chris Stanek if you have questions or concerns.

There was great progress on the bridge thanks to all the people who showed up to help. Everyone is welcome to come down and observe the outstanding work that was done by members of our community.

Day 2 – and the works continues

Day 3 (Monday evening), great progress today. Got the mid-rails and top boards on. Placed a good section of the floor boards on as well. Good job guys!

Day 4 – It appears we had some workers continue with the floor decking today! Getting close to a finished floor. Nice job guys!

Credit goes to Andy Skillman for repairing the broken concrete foundation. Shannon Morrissey, Scott Dierberger, Bill Mangels and Phil Mangels got the rest of the deck boards cut and put in place. The project is close to being able to open the bridge again, but there is still a lot of work ahead to get approaches built so erosion will be stopped around the top of the foundation.

Wednesday afternoon/evening (day 4) nice progress. Bridge decking done, east side approach started. Almost thereā€¦.nice job guys!

Friday, Day 5 – Big day with the bridge project, completed wire side panels and the approaches to the bridge. Aside from a couple loose ends, the bridge is complete and ready for your use!

A big shout out to our lead, Myron Carlson, who planned and ensured every step of the process was executed as designed! He went above & beyond on this project which will benefit our entire community!

Also shown in the following pictures is our core group including Scott Dierberger, Alan Mason, Phil Mangles, Bill Mangles and Andrew Skillman. In addition to these guys, the following individuals also contributed to this project: Kent Miller, Mike Beister, Kevin Rochford, Teresa Mason, Lynn Dierberger, Greg White, Chris Stanek, and a special thanks to Shannon Morrissey for coordinating most of the materials.

Thanks to each and every one of you for your dedication, time and expertise! Much appreciated!!!
